**Joint Fire District Litigation Material**
Before reading the attached litigation, it is important to provide some background information to Village and
Township residents explaining the actions taken by Village Council prior to filing this lawsuit.
1.) February 2007; Resolution R-2007-5 was passed by a unanimous vote of Council.
2.) July 2007; Joint Fire District Exploratory Advisory Committee recommends that the Village Council and Township Trustees form a
Joint Fire District (see this website for all the information and action taken by J.F.D.E.A.C.).
3.) July 19, 2007; Notification to Trustees from Village Council and Mayor requesting the Trustees to sit down with Village representatives to form a Joint Fire District.
