AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1529 AND 1548,TO ESTABLISH CURRENT SALARIES OF ALL FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME EMPLOYEES WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF WINDHAM, COUNTY OF PORTAGE AND STATE OF OHIO, REPEALING ALL PRIOR INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.WHEREAS, the Village of Windham employs a significant number of full-time and part-time employees within the Village; andWHEREAS, the current salaries of these employees has been modified by various other ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to set forth the current salaries of the Village of Windham full-time and part-time employees in one pay ordiance;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Windham three-fourths or more of the members elected thereto concurring that:
Section 1: That the following are the current salaries of all full-time and part-time employees of the Village of Windham:
POSITION ANNUAL SALARY Police Chief 33,477.13 Street Superintendent 25,000 to 29,000 Village Fiscal Officer 25,000 to 27,000 Income Tax Clerk 19,000 to 22,000 HOURLY COMPENSATION Police Sargent 14.54 per hour Police Corporal 13.82 per hour Full Time Patrolman 13.34 per hour Part-time Patrolman - Probationary period Free Time Part-time Patrolman - Free time to 6 months 8.50 per hour Part-time Patrolman - 6 months to 1 year 9.26 per hour Part-time Patrolman - 1 year to 2 years 9.86 per hour Part-time Patrolman - 2 years and up 10.83 per hour Head Dispatcher 11.34 per hour Full Time Dispatcher 10.82 per hour Part-time Dispatcher - Up to 6 months 8.22 per hour Part-time Dispatcher - After 6 months 8.63 per hour Part-time Dispatcher - After 1 year 9.05 per hour Part-time Dispatcher - After 18 months 9.10 per hour Part-time Dispatcher - After 2 years 9.88 per hour Part-time Laborer Street/Water/Sewer 9.36 per hour Full Time Utilities Clerk (per Adm discretion) 8.50 to 9.50 per hour Water/Sewer Superintendent 20.38 per hour Water/Sewer Leadman 13.94 per hour Water/Sewer Operator 12.88 per hour Water/Sewer Operator in Training (per Adm discretion) 10.40 to 12.88 per hour Section 2: It is hereby found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were accepted in an open meeting of this Council, and that deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal actions were in meeting open to the public, in compliance with Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Section 3: That this Ordinance be declared an emergency measure and become effective upon its passage by Council and approved by the Mayor, and to further insure the public health, safety and general welfare of the residents of the Village of Windham.
