Safety Meeting

 

 

August 8, 2006

 

 

Attending:         Mayor Moore; Scott Garrett, Council President; Marian Garrett, Council Member; Mark Manlove, Village Solicitor; Rachel Barrett, Chair and Clair Simpson, Fire Chief

 

 

Meeting called to order at 7:45 p.m.

 

Fire Chief Simpson reported the Township Trustees have given the department permission to order a Life Pack 12 Defibrillator at a cost of $13,500 plus shipping.  Payment from the following funds: picture fund raiser - $2067; American Legion donation - $1000; Equipment fund approximately $4000; and balance from grant monies.

 

New truck will be arriving any time – will take approximately two months to get ready for service.

 

Three department members: D. Cough, F. Starkey and S. Visher are starting EMT classes.

 

The Committee is reviewing a “Nuisance Ordinance” which would 1). Control the number of police calls to any one location within specific time frame (recommend 6 months) before landlord is requested to evict and 2). Landlords will be held accountable for tenant’s actions.
