Curfew Hours
509.08 CURFEW

(a) No Minor under the age of fourteen years shall be upon the streets, sidewalks, parks or other public places in the Village between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am of the following day.

(b) No minor fourteen years of age or older and under the age of sixteen years shall be upon the streets, sidewalks, parks or other public places in the Village between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am of the following day.

(c) No minor between sixteen years of age or older and under the age of eighteen years shall be upon the streets, sidewalks, parks or other public places in the Village between 12:00 midnight and 6:00 am of the following day.

The provisions of the subsections (a) through (c) hereof shall not apply to any minor accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor or when the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his or her parent, guardian or other adult person having care and custody of the minor.

No parent, guardian or person having custody of a minor under the age of sixteen years shall permit any such minor to be on any street, alley or public way as set forth in subsections (a) and (b) above.

PROPERTY STOLEN FROM UNLOCKED VEHICLES
There have been a number of thefts reported within the last six months involving theft from unlocked vehicles in the village. REMEMBER TO LOCK YOUR VEHICLES WHEN YOU LEAVE THEM. If you see suspicious activity in your neighborhood, call the police immediately.


PROPERTY STOLEN FROM HOMES AND VEHICLES
There have been a number of Laptops, Playstation and XBox thefts recently from locked AND unlocked homes. If you see suspicious activity in your neighborhood, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO APPREHEND- call the police immediately.


SAFETY TIPS
Always Lock your car and home. Theft is often a crime of opportunity, so do not let the thieves victimize you!

When walking to your car or home, always have keys in hand prior to arrival to your door.

Gun Locks are available free of charge while supplies last. Make sure guns in your homes are SAFE. Drop by or call to make your request.
